November: National Adoption Month

Did you know that November is proclaimed as National Adoption Month? This is a time when we celebrate the power of adoption and the profound impact it has on the lives of those involved. It's a month dedicated to recognizing the resilience, strength, and love of adoptees, birth families, and adoptive families. It's a time to honor the unique stories and experiences that define every person in the adoption constellation. I think that's so fitting as it is a month that most tend to really focus on what they are thankful for. So, I will give you a short list of what I'm thankful for as we enter this season of Thanksgiving.

  1. Family - I am so grateful for my supportive and loving family who are always in my corner.

  2. Friends - I have some of the best who offer endless encouragement, laughs and fun!

  3. Coaching - I have the opportunity to be surrounded by amazing players and their families!

  4. Pearson Education - I am fortunate to work for a company that enables me to have an excellent work-life balance and is generously supportive of adoption.

  5. Health & Happiness - I am grateful for each day that I have with loved ones to continue the journey and make memories along the way.

I am HOPEFUL that my constellation is forming and I continue to be thankful to all those who are following my journey. I believe that the stars will align when the time is right and I can't wait to see what the future holds!
